We also have modified the default settings of Jaikoz to better match the SongKong default profileĪdditionally we have added full support for release level performers and Discogs performers to match SongKong Some customers use both applications and this meant that if you matched your library in SongKong and then updated them in Jaikoz some fields would get modified, then if you updated in SongKong they would get modified again, this release aims to eliminate this yo-yo ing. Jaikoz and SongKong have similar matching algorithms and support the same metadata fields, but they were doing things a bit differently. Perhaps the most requested feature has now been done, we now support multiple column sorting for more details We now support the main view/edit table being multi tabbed so now you can view many fields without having to scroll to the right, the tabs are fully configurable and you can have as few or many as you like, see here for details. This release has three main areas of focus: Improvements to User Interface Once I get the hardware options sorted, I can then turn my attention to which ripping software to use and which file format to store the music in.Pleased to announce a major release of Jaikoz ![]() Best model of external CD drive to get for this? (Would like a USB one for ease of setup - I have a HP Pavilion dm4-1165dx laptop so eSATA is also an option).Ģ. I'm resigned to doing this incrementally, i.e. I've done a bit of research on some options such as Sony's GigaJuke (way too expensive) and the Brennan JB7 (variable reviews) and have concluded that what I need to get are: (a) a high-speed external CD drive to do the transfer and (b) something like a NAS with redundant storage (to prevent some calamity making my hours of effort redundant). I now want to bite the bullet and tackle this task. Naturally, I am now regretting not ripping this collection onto my PC as I was building it up. 2000 CDs in my home library, the product of about 10 years of collecting. ![]()
